| Oracle DBA |
|
Responsible to plan, design, implement and support IT architecture for customer programs. Work closely with the IT team members on installation, configuration and upgrades (migration) to the database management system software and hardware. Responsible for setting up / create databases, design application schemas/integrity, and conduct performance tuning / optimization. Provide operations support as required 24x7 services.
Mandatory Job Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship with active U.S. Government TS/SCI CI Polygraph
Security clearance.
BS/BA. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
5+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
Knowledgeable of
>> Oracle databases versions 9i and/or 10g
>> Oracle Enterprise Management
>> Oracle configuration and tuning
>> PL/SQL
Experience with the design and installation of databases, table structures,
and allocating storage.
Ability to manage all backups, rollbacks, and database recoveries.
Ability to manage security of production systems.
Experience upgrading, installing patches, and managing performance or
other issues with the database.
Experience writing SQL scripts for requested queries and reports.
Knowledgeable of:
>> Software development disciplines
>> Configuration management
>> Database Administration
>> DB design
>> Systems administration
>> Design
>> Remote data acquisition
>> Extraction.
Familiar with Windows 2003.
Position is located in Vienna or Merrifield VA.
