| PKI/CAC Technical Subject Matter Expert |

PKI Technical SME
Description:
Plans, analyzes, conducts market research, writes, staffs, coordinates, deploys, and supports technical papers, product analyses, recommendations as they relate to HSPD-12, DOD PKI, DOD smartcard, middleware, wireless and PDA devices, and emerging identity management products and new developments; acts as Army subject matter expert and representative in regard to Defense, National, and International Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards; participates in Federal, DOD, and Army committees, forums, and working groups regarding concepts, technologies, and applications of DOD PKI and DOD smartcard in medium and high assurance environments; coordinates lab testing and fielding of various DOD PKI, DOD smartcard, and other enabling identity management technologies; provides oral and written presentations and reports; prepares Army correspondence, memorandums, technical papers, executive summaries, weekly summaries, meeting minutes, and briefs.
Qualifications:
* Understanding AR 25-1, AR 25-2, DODD 8500.1, DODI 8500.2
* Windows server installation, deployment & operational support
* Microsoft Active Directory Expertise
* Microsoft and DOD PKI Certificate Lifecycle Management
* Macintosh server installation, deployment & operational support desirable
* Linux, Solaris server installation, deployment & operational support desirable
* Key Pair generation tools & digital signature processes
* Understanding of Hardware Security Modules (HSM)
* Understanding of Applied Cryptography
* Understanding of Smartcard Technologies (ISO 7816, ISO 14443)
* Understanding of DOD PKI Technologies (X.509)
* Experience with data encryption deployments
* Ability to work independently
* Proven ability to master new technologies
* Strong decision making skills
* 5+ years of Security experience
Education and Certifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
* Information Assurance Certification (one or more) – CISA, CISSP, GSEC, SCNA, SCNP, SSCP
