| Help Desk Specialist |
|
USmax Corporation has an opening for a Help Desk Specialist within a classified environment in Alexandria, VA. The help desk serves as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting hardware/software, PC, and printer problems. The candidate selected will be part of a staff of shift workers that provides help desk and customer support services for a government enterprise-wide client-server network using a combination of Windows NT, 2000 and XP, servers and workstations. Primary duties include staffing the help desk, answering and documenting user requests over the phone, and performing basic desktop and server troubleshooting over the network. Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills with both technical and non-technical customers and an ability to work well under pressure within a team environment.

The Company |
Requirements
Two to four years of experience with Windows, Microsoft Office and Outlook products. Certifications as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are desirable. Direct experience supporting government programs such as the Joint Deployable Intelligence Support System (JDISS) or Global Command and Control System (GCCS) is desired. Technical experience in a government law enforcement agency or service in the US Armed Forces is preferred.
