US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Seeks a self-starting individual to develop, implement, and test geolocation systems. This engineer will apply mathematics and physics to design and develop complex positioning systems for RF signals in demanding collection environments. In this role, this individual will be responsible for geolocation algorithm development, system engineering, and software implementation and testing.
Work includes system support through all phases of the life cycle from concept through final delivery, using an iterative design methodology to maximize productivity. Solutions are implemented on platforms including Linux PCs and embedded processors. You will have access to a well-equipped computer / signal processing lab with emphasis on real data rather than simulation. The position includes direct interaction with customers and end users.
Skills / Requirements Required: BS in Electrical Engineering (preferred), Applied Math, Remote Sensing, or similar discipline. Strong DSP fundamentals. Demonstrated capability in scientific programming, especially C/C++. Relocation to sunny Tucson, Arizona. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (US citizenship required).
Preferred: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering (preferred), Applied Math, Remote Sensing, or similar discipline
Applicable background includes GPS or other navigation systems; electromagnetic propagation; relativity; multipath and interference mitigation; mathematical techniques such as non-linear optimization and unbiased correlation; and positioning algorithms such as MUSIC and TDOA/FDOA geolocation. |
